Drop-in meditation classes

These drop-in meditation classes consist of a talk, guided meditation and a chance for questions and answers. Each talk is a part of a series, yet is self-contained. This means that you can drop in at any point and still feel that you have something worthwhile to take home with you. Each month we present a different series of classes.

Our Center

Dewikoti Buddhist Center in Marin is a member of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT), established by Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. It is a branch of Saraha Buddhist Center in San Francisco and is closely affiliated with sister Centers in Northern California -- Mahakaruna, Dzalandhara and Duldzin Dragpa.

Ven. Geshe Kelsang gave us the name "Dewikoti" which is the name of a Buddha's Pure Land, a realm beyond suffering that we can attain by purifying and transforming our mind. It is an appropriate name for a Center in beautiful Marin County!

We are also planning to gradually open more branches in Marin. If you are interested in seeing meditation classes held in your area, please let us know.

Our Teachers

Drop-in meditation classes are taught by Kathleen Thurston, Stephen Gude, Michael Rollins and Tessa Logan
