Kids' Meditation Classes

The first Sunday of every month
9:15-10:00AM
With Paula Kelly
Kadampa Buddhist Temple
3324 17th St.
San Francisco, CA 94110

$4/class

We are delighted to introduce new Kids' Meditation Classes with experienced Buddhist teacher, Paula Kelly. These 45-minute sessions are designed to help children develop a peaceful, positive state of mind by listening to and applying Buddha's simple compassionate teachings and meditations.

Each month, we share a short meditation, a prayer reading, a brief teaching and an art or music project. We emphasize kindness to others and the cultivation of a happy heart.

The benefits of meditation for adults is well-documented and include physical, emotional, mental and spiritual benefits. Meditation leads to a deeper sense of relaxation and peace, a greater sense of well-being, and more mental clarity. A recent New York Times article spoke of many school systems throughout the country that have implemented meditation instruction precisely because of these benefits. The opportunity for parents and children to practice meditation together can help create a family life filled with more loving-kindness, greater ease, and more peaceful minds.

Classes are for children of any age. Parents are welcome too!

Contact Paula via epc@kadampas.org if you want more information -- or just show up!
