2) Sunday Morning Meditations for World Peace
At Saraha Kadampa Buddhist Center
3324 - 17th St., San Francisco, CA 94110
Sundays, 11:00am-12:30pm

Without inner peace, outer peace is impossible. We all wish for world peace, but world peace will never be achieved unless we first establish peace within our own minds. We can send so-called 'peacekeeping forces' into areas of conflict, but peace cannot be imposed from outside with guns. Only by creating peace within our own minds and helping others do the same can we hope to achieve peace in this world. -- Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

Our Sunday drop-in meditation classes include guided meditations, a short prayer dedicated to world peace, and a teaching on a Buddhist topic. In these classes, we can learn and practice essential meditation techniques, reduce stress, and develop lasting happiness. In so doing, we can find real inner peace within our own hearts and in this way contribute to world peace.

Everyone is welcome to any class, regardless of background or experience.

Requested Donation: $10/class; No one turned away for lack of funds.
