Inspiring Quotes

Happiness is a state of mind, so the real source of happiness must lie within the mind, not in external conditions. If our mind is pure and peaceful, we shall be happy, regardless of our external conditions.

Our Center

Duldzin Dragpa Buddhist Center is currently located in a neighborhood near Blossom Valley in San Jose. Here we hold our Saturday morning Teachings & Prayers for World Peace class, day courses and pujas (chanted meditations).

Our Center is a member of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT), established by Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

Our Teacher
Reed photoReed Sherman has been studying, practicing, and teaching Buddhist meditation for 15 years under the guidance of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Tessa Logan, the Resident Teacher of Saraha Buddhist Center in San Francisco has appointed Reed to be the Teacher in San Jose.

Our Bookstore
Our bookstore in Blossom Hill contains the 21 books written by our Spiritual Director and Teacher, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. They are suitable for both beginners and more experienced meditators. His books are available on CD also.
