Meditation Courses in San Francisco
At Saraha Kadampa Buddhist Center 3324 17th St. San Francisco, CA 94110
1) Journey to Enlightenment: A Workshop with Gen Chöma Saturday, March 17, 10:30am-2:00pm
Enlightenment is a state of perfect freedom, compassion and wisdom. In this course, we will learn the practice of going for refuge to the enlightened state, and how to live the life of a Bodhisattva, someone who is journeying towards enlightenment. We will also look at how to integrate these practices into our regular daily life. For those who wish, at the end of the workshop there will be a profound and beautiful ritual where we can formally go for refuge to Buddha, Dharma and Sangha, and receive the Bodhisattva vow, in which we decide to gradually make our life the life of a Bodhisattva.
